Portfolio — City Market Building
Completed in 1914, the City Market of Raleigh now houses art studios, restaurants and bars. Fluhrer Reed has recently completed an adaptive reuse project to one of the buildings, a former brewery, that was badly damaged in a fire in 2004. After an extensive field investigation by the engineers at Fluhrer Reed to determine the existing building’s condition, our team worked closely with the architect to provide structural engineering for a complete interior renovation. The construction added many improvements to the building, including an interior mezzanine.
