Portfolio — Hale High School Addition
Load-bearing masonry was used in the construction of this new classroom building for Hale High School located in Raleigh, NC. Fluhrer Reed’s engineers worked with the architect to design and detail the masonry walls to adequately support the concrete hollow core planks that were used to frame the second floor of the building. Timber roof trusses were incorporated in the design to achieve the desired aesthetic look.
